I designed a sunset watching social media service, researching extensively into current competition, user interviews and strategic design for business.

Overview

Objective: To research and design a sunset watching social media app and promote it through an ad campaign

Tone: playful, casual, energetic, connection with others

Primary Audience: adults who have busy lives and want a fun hobby that combines nature and community & photographers

Deliverables: Brand identity, Ad campaign

Sunsocial is a social media app that is all about finding community through the shared interest of sunsets and sunrises.

Sunsocial delivers the most accurate real time sunset/sunrise data and provides opportunity to connect to your local community while finding when and where to watch the best sunsets of your life!

Ad Campaign

This Ad Campaign is a series of digital banners that progressively show the different strategies used to attract and retain users.

Awareness

An intriguing broad preview introducing Sunsocial as a playful app for sunset lovers. Target audience loves to take pictures of the sunsetting.

Interest

This shows how the app brings people together. Mixing photo and graphic elements shows the playful visual style.

Desire

Sunsocial’s brand promise is to provide the most accurate sunset/sunrise data. This play on outdoors ads shows how you can rely on Sunsocial to enjoy a nice view.

Action

The focus is on user needs being met, showing that the main value propositions the target audience look for are fulfilled with out app.

Retention

Showing that Sunsocial is more than just an app, but a way to stay connected and create community both online and offline. Using a casual, friendly tone.
